Default Repeate Communication Sequences in ATC, Over and Over and Over and Over . . .

Recently while flying with ATC, I had to listen to the same set of transmissions over twenty times in a row. It was a simple, change of frequency transmission sequence between a particular plane and center, i.e., a handoff. But the thing just kept repeating and repeating and repeating.

Is this a known glitch in FS ATC - or was it just an anomoly? It was sure annoying.

DID YOU REPLY/RESPOND correctly to the ATC instruction?

IF you don't follow the instruction then ATC will keep repeating the last instruction. Not just acknowledge the frequency change BUT also change frequency.

How many in the USA? I spent several years flying on vatsim across the world and rarely outside of western europe and the uk did I ever see ATC and never saw one in the usa in all those years of flying on-line, just one of the reasons why I left them and ivao, no more real than FS9 ATC already provided and since purchasing Radar Contact would never even consider rejoining either as I now enjoy realistic situation aware ATC wherever and whenever I fly, much better.

Sorry - I guess I didn't make this clear. The transmission was part of the "chatter" they include, i.e., it did not involve my plane. It was a handoff transmission involving another plane and the center. (The transmission text appeared in orange on the ATC display, not green.)

So there was no way I could respond to it. I just had to listen to it, over and over and over and over . . . .

Please don't send private messages asking me to explain what I have written as a reply to your topic it was not necessary or needed. Your message was dumped as was your wierd line of questioning over such a trivial matter especially judging by the reponses which amount to extremely little so therefore is of ill-consequence to the majority and best left eithe as suffered or do without FS9 ATC to me it makes no difference as like most I DON'T USE IT prefferring one of many alternatives which DO WORK.

Look at the thread, what did you think to acheive by mailing me privately? Or were/are you so bored that this was all you could think of doing. If my answer was not to your satisfaction, do what everybody has the right and usally have the ability to do and ignore it don't push it privately it won't score points and is ignored as stated and therefore a waste of your time.

Well, pardon me. I wasn't trying to start trouble.

It's just that I did experience repeat transmissions between another plane and center, which I was powerless to do anything about. Your response assumed the transmission was between my plane and center, which is entirely different - in this case, I can put an end to the series by responding; I cannot do that when it is a "chatter" transmission involving other planes.

But, I see that you will be unable to answer the question anyway. Perhaps someone else will.
