Rupert Posted November 26, 2022 Share Posted November 26, 2022 Good shots. Having said that,they bring me nightmares! I can't begin to estimate the hours I've spent in the cabin waiting to be de-iced at DTW. Only to be de-iced again because the lineup for clearance and takeoff was so slow!! I finally started driving to and from Detroit in the winter for that very reason. And usually got home to Kentucky faster than if I'd flown! In fact if you consider check-in at SDF, waiting for baggage at DTW, then renting a car, and then driving from the airport I could almost drive to Detroit as fast as it took to fly, even in good weather.
