Great shots JK!

While boating on the Ohio River and several other interior waterways and even once crossing the Gulf of Mexico I've encountered several different planes acting as watercraft. And in fact I have made several water landings both in fresh and salt water as a CH-46 pilot. But OMG I've never encountered and plane that big on the water while aboard a pleasure craft!!

I can't imagine the havoc that thing might wring by landing on any inland waterway on a summertime holiday or weekend day!! Being on the water during your 2nd and 3rd shots would really be scary to a pleasure boater!! I've been on rivers where the wing span wouldn't even allow a landing without a collision with something on the banks on both sides!!

Yep,

I just looked it up and the "Goose" is shown with a 320' wingspan. That's wider than the Kentucky River and surely many more worldwide as well.

The nice thing about flightsim is you can get almost anything off the ground or water. :) Nice shots of Hercules.

Nice shot of the Bristol Barbazon Larry.

But to your point, at lest one unnamed simmer has no problem taking off or landing. It's just that many of his land based aircraft end up "landing" in the water.
