Multplayer Mode MSFS & FSX

Recommended Posts

Hello,

my son (9 years) plays FSX on my old PC. Now he has asked me if we can not fly together (so me with the MSFS 2020 and he with the FSX). I know there was GameSpy mode on FSX, but it was turned off at some point.

Does anyone here know of a working solution? He does NOT have the Steam version, which is supposed to offer some multiplayer mode.

Thanks and best regards from Vienna

Wolfgang

I’m fairly sure you can’t do it. Not only is FSX 15 years older, but they are completely different sims.

Yes you can! Google JoinFS Your son will need to use the FSX version of JoinFS and you need to use the MSFS version of JoinFS. You both can join a server (or create your own) and you both can fly together. Any user of the program can change any other players airplane to one they have in your own library. Hope this helps.
