LAV ((Línea Aeropostal Venezolana) flight 251 is a Lockheed L-1049E Constellation on a flight from Miami, Florida to Havana, Cuba (KMIA - MUHA). We have 3,000 gallons of fuel on board for the 205 nm, flight. There will be light cloud cover for the flight. Our cruising altitude will be 16,000 feet.

13. At 11,000 feet we see the northwest coast of Cuba about 25 NM from Havana.

14. Down to 8,000 feet we make landfall at Nuevo Mariel about 18 NM from Havana.

15. At 5,500 feet we turn to intercept our assigned approach to runway 6 at Jose Marti Intl.

16. Descending through 4,000 feet about 8 NM from the airport with full flaps and gear down.
