Greetings,

I'm quite familiar using VORs. I have one on my own 150. What I'm having difficulty with is setting up the nav radios in MSFS 2020. I've tried a number of VOR setup possibilities but have been unable to come up with a combination that works, i.e one that allows me to tune to the VOR frequency. Your suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Not quite sure what your problem is. The VOR works the same on the msfs C152 exactly the same as it does in the RW aircraft.

You tune the standby nav frequency to the VOR you want to track, hit the button to make it the live frequency and turn the knob on the instrument until the line is in the centre.

If you still have a problem, can you explain and I will try to help if I can

The VOR works the same on the msfs C152 exactly the same as it does in the RW aircraft.

While that may be a true statement (at least for SOME C-152s, not likely ALL), it doesn't address the likely differences in avionics between a fairly recent C-152 and a rather older C-150, or even between C-152s that are of different ages or that have had upgrades from the owner. Note that in the real world, what you might think of as "identical" aircraft may, in point of fact, be equipped in MANY different ways.

Your brief description of HOW might answer the question, though, if it's a lack of knowledge rather than an actual failure/incompatibility of something in the sim.

The only other yhing I can think of is that the OP is expecting to get a VOR signal whilst on the ground, whereas depending on the terrain, signal strength and weather, you might need to be at a few hundred or even thousand feet before you pick it up. VHF is a line of sight signal as far as I know.
