Wing views are stored in the panel.cfg file. If you changed panels, then you lost the wing views of the previous panel.

Anwar,

You will need to supply us with more information so that we can try to help you.

1. Did you change anything in your plane's panel.cfg file ?

2. Did you replace the original panel by any other panel ?

3. What is the exact type of plane ?

4. Is it a default plane or a downloaded one ?

5. If it concernes a downloaded plane, what is the name of the download file and where did you download it from ?

6. Do you have any kind of backup for your plane ?

Any further information could be helpful.

Hans

Sorry MrZippy, FS9 doesn't do Camera Definition(s).

Rather Views are formatted as per the following directly in the Panel .cfg (for example: this, from the payware MAAM Sim DC-3); for specific information refer: pp. 6-8, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 SDK, Building Panels & Gauges, 02.2004).

Errr ... No!

The above values are only applicable to the payware MAAM Sim DC-3 panel.cfg and should not be taken as anything remotely approaching the values you need. I posted them to simply demonstrate what it was you should be looking for in your particular panel.cfg

Really, in your case, the easiest thing to do would be to simply re-download the aircraft (HJG DC10-30) panel again and *copy* the specific View values from your new download to the panel you're having problems with. Then you have a backup copy of the original aircraft panel.

And finally, let this be a valuable lesson in always backing up your files before doing any editing.

EDIT:

I have just downloaded the appropriate DC10-30 HJG panel and these are the values you need to use. Cut and paste them into your panel.cfg.

He shouldn't need to change anything that's supplied .... if he's indeed using the HJG supplied files .... "and only provided he's content with the views presented below".

2 WV's "ONLY" are included within all DC-10's offered by HJG.

The WV components (imaged below) are actually part'n'parcel of the 3D models (so it was discovered back in 2015) .... and work automatically "from 2D panel view" (not VC panel view as no VC is provided) on the basis of selecting the following NUMERIC KEY PAD commands

1 = displays training edge WV

3 = displays leading edge WV

That's the only WV's featured in what HJG offer (functioning as commanded/described above) and which then appear as follows ....

zBeYI31.jpg

eZzsAaH.jpg

xdQAOjk.jpg

UFp2I3V.jpg

"IF" he's trying to add all-round wing views possibly per per CFG based camera angle data .... THEN .... that's a whole other ball game not supported by HJG.

Although not actively supported by HJG (only because of limited past interest) one of the groups members (Nathan) is "an expert" in the compilation of WV data and will probably provide him with assistance, but, he'll need to log onto the HJG forum .... where 99.999% of it's supported is provided.

Gi'day Mark,

Thanks for that detailed explanation.

Without further information from the OP, it was assumed he had zealously/erroneously edited out the WV data (especially in reply #6 where he claims he changed "1) wing view config in aircraft panel config". Hence my re-posting the data to try and return things back to the de facto state.

If, OTOH, WV's are a built-in feature (cool feature btw), maybe the OP simply needs to reread the panel manual to reorient himself with the relevant keyboard shortcuts.

Just sayin'.

Dorian

No problem :)

There's 2 types of WV ....

1. Those that are based on what's compiled into the 3D models .... then (in the case of the DC-10's at least) activated per the NUMERIC KEY PAD as I mentioned and illustrated.

2. Those that are dependent on CFG based camera axis data .... and which are what I suspect his preference is.

Probably best he consult (in regard to he latter/#2 type) with Nathan at HJG :)

The manual I compiled for the HJG hosted DC-10's only refers to the (#2 type) model based WV's I presented, but, not in regard to the other alternative.

Go to the start screen, then Learning Center. Choose Autopilot. Lots of information there. Note that the Cessna autopilot cannot control your speed.

While their, learn what controls you can choose for the Cessna, and what you cannot.

You CAN control speed with pitch, but only by increasing or decreasing pitch angle... there are NO speed controls on the Cessna 172! The rest? The Learning Center is your source.
