MSFS Icon on Desktop

In order to start MSFS I must first click the Micro Soft button on my keyboard, open my library, scroll down to the version of MSFS I downloaded and open it. I would appreciate an MSFS icon on my desktop that would do all that for me. Can someone walk me thru exactly how that is done?

You can create a shortcut to the FlightSimulator.exe file like this:

Type FlightSimulator.exe into the search window on your taskbar.

In the options list on the right hand side, select "Open file location".

Right-click on FlightSimulator.exe and select "Create shortcut".

Move the new "FlightSimulator.exe - Shortcut" file to your desktop.

flightsimulator.exe does not work. Thanks anyway.

I can open my "Microsoft Flight Simulator" folder, then "Contents", find a file named "Flight Simulator" (it's an application, not an exe), right-click on the file and select "create shortcut". The new file will be displayed just above the Flight Simulator file. Click and drag the shortcut to your desktop.
