Being in the UK I haven’t heard of the incident.. but I’m guessing they gave out the call “can anybody fly a plane?”

Surely you can’t be serious :)

Every cyberpilots dream came true in Palm Springs Florida yesterday.

 

I'd call it a nightmare, if I weren't a pilot and encountered that, and very uncomfortable (because of the ailment) in any case.

I'm qualified as a pilot and I would STILL expect to die if that happened, in the absence of the Big Blue button..! Only in America!

I used to live in the West Palm Beach area, and he was darn lucky to be near a major airport with a long runway - even so, as we armchair pilots know, many things can go oh so wrong landing any aircraft. It was truly a downright remarkable feat...
