Joystick NO user profile

Recommended Posts

I have a Logitech Extreme 3d and I've created my own Joystick user profile, but no matter what I do the default profile always comes up in every plane or flight I fly. When I check in the Profile Mgr. my presets are there with my name but I cannot get them to be applied in my flights, the default presets is the only thing showing. Any ideas?

Is there anything else I should do for my Joystick to work? MSFS does not retain my user profile, it keeps some but must of them are "defaults". I have tried everything and it does not work. I did the initial calibration and downloaded drivers from Logitech. I wonder if there's something wrong with the Joystick so I can return it to Amazon.

If I was you I would go to YouTube. Lots of videos on 3d stick. Reviews. Setup in FS2020, etc. Enter 'Logitech Extreme 3D' in 'Search' box. Or enter it in Google. Get refreshment, popcorn, ice cream, or light a cigar and get comfortable as there will be HOURS of videos. Good luck.

Edit:PS. Don't forget to TAKE NOTES. MSFS is complicated when it comes to controllers.

I have done what you've suggested yet I also found similar amount of information on trouble with this particular joystick having incompatibility issues with MSFS and windows 10. I even went to the extend of re-installing my dependable FSX and tried the joystick with the same negative results. The trouble seems to be that the joystick just "partially" work with certain windows configurations. By the way, this is the 1st time I've tried to use a Joystick since I started with FS 1.0 in the 1980s

The Logitech installer does note provide a way to "Calibrate" the joystick. The work around I Found in YouTube is the following:

Open the "Logitech profiler and go to:

1. The "Device" -->"Game Controllers" Screen

2. Once on the Screen: Press Left "Crtl" + "Left "Shift" and hold, and then click: "Properties"

3. The "Calibration Screen" will pop up!

Once calibrated it works perfectly on MSFS and any other game.
