ArcaneDegree Posted January 25, 2022 Share Posted January 25, 2022 Hi, Recently I decided to install some aircraft liveries for the default Cessna 208B aircraft in FS2004, however, despite following the instructions in the readme file in the aircraft liveries addon that I installed, when I select the addon liveries, the aircraft texture does not show and the whole aircraft appears grey/white in colour both in the simulator itself as well as in the selection menu. Things I have tried doing to fix the issue (which have not worked unfortunately): 1. Making sure all addon livery texture folders are in the aircraft folder for the Cessna 208B caravan 2. Making sure that all the edits were done to the aircraft .cfg file for the Cessna 208B caravan, including ensuring the texture= had the right pointer to the right texture folder 3. Ensuring the texture files are in the DDS image format (which they already were in) Despite trying all this however, I still can't seem to resolve this problem and the aircraft textures continue to remain grey/white and blank when I choose the addon liveries. I was wondering if someone could help me with this problem/ provide me with advice on how to fix this issue. caphavoc Posted January 25, 2022 Share Posted January 25, 2022 (edited) Gi'day, Your problem is: .dds textures are specific to FSX, not FS9 (which uses DXT1, DXT3 and 32 bit). Do a Google search for the tools you will need and any tutorials on how to convert .dds to FS9 formatted textures. Good luck.
