Hello, not to ruffle anybodys feathers but, since MSFS 2020 has rightfully taken over the

development of payware aircraft and FS9 and FSX is now out of favor with them,

can maybe they offer their aircraft at a discount.

It's better than letting them collect dust and there is still enough of

us out there using these older systems.

Digital copies of payware aircraft do not take up any physical space nor do they collect dust. And you need to address the "they" folks and not the members here. They are the ones you need to ask.

Over the years many developers have marked down previous versions of a plane when versions for new FS were released; some even released older versions free.

As said above, some have released older versions for lower prices, or even for free.

 

One issue with selling older aircraft is support. Those that pay money for them are going to expect some level of support, which smaller developers in particular, may not be able to provide. One of the big issues that people run into is installing those older add-ons on modern versions of Windows, for example. Fixing it may be easy, or it may not, but either way it will take away time and effort from other projects that will bring in more money to keep the lights on.

Main issue with some older payware isn't the aircraft themselves so much as the installer may not work in newOS.
