FSX Flight Planner Problem

Using FSX flight planner. KPVD to KBID, VFR, Direct, Edit Mode cruising altitude, 4500'. NavLog altitude 108'. Waypoints on NavLog: KPVD direct KBID. Other data looks good. Why the low altitude on NavLog?

108' is the elevation AMSL of KBID Block Island State. If you scroll up the NavLog list it'll give you the altitude of each waypoint.

So, the altitude given in the NavLog is the AMSL of the waypoints and not the cruising altitude suggested. Counterintuitive when the heading is right next to it. Thank you.

Yes, the navlog will give you suggested altitude to each waypoint if included in the flight plan. If you go direct with the destination being the only waypoint then you will only see the altitude of that airport. So if you had another waypoint along the way the altitude to that waypoint will most likely be 4500 depending how far out from the destination. Edited by mqytn
