brenth
Using an X.52 HOTAS on FSX on a Dreamflyer sim. Was working OK but over the past several months the computer would intermittently lose the stick controllers while the throttle quadrant was still working fine. Checked all the cables - all OK. Now have new computer running Win 10, lots of RAM and even got a new X.52 Pro HOTAS. Now the computer will not see the stick controllers, buttons at all while seeing the throttle quadrant fine. Both units LEDs light up but using win usb controller app nothing on the stick works. Tried the setup on other computers and same problem. I've tried using other USB ports. Have reinstalled the x.52 software multiple times (downloaded and tried most recent version from logitech). I've about run out of ideas. Is there some incompatibility between x.52 and Win 10? Also, I am running Saitek rudder pedals with no problem. Anyone have any ideas?
ftldave
I'm running Saitek X.52 on Windows 10\FSX with no problems. If the problem follows to other computers, it's surely your X.52 unit that's defective, sorry to say.
brenth
Thanks for your thoughts. Funny that the same problem should occur with the original controller and with a brand new one. I'll continue to investigate. Glad to know that the system can work with win 10.
johnost
I know this is no help, but I used a Saitek X-52 Pro for less than a year when the Stick part became erratic probably due to dirty potentiometers. I gave up on using it and now use a Thrustmaster T 16000M Stick with the X-52 Throttle in a HOTAS setup. It works perfectly.
