Hello to all and help please.

I have tried and tried to get the above to work in P3dv5.1 with no luck.

I have replaced the known dsd_fsx_xml_SOUND3 with the newer DD file...still no luck.

If anybody has it working....could you please give me a hand ??

I've been working on this for a week ...with total frustration !!!

Thanks.

This was for FSX/FS2004 as I recall. How are you sure it should work in P3DV5.x ? The last it worked for was P3dv4, if I recall correctly.

Have you asked Rob Barendregt?

Skip, P3D v. 5.2 has been out for quite a while now.

Step 1 to resolve your issue: upgrade to that version.

Don't stay with a version of the sim that is NO LONGER supported. It's 4.5 or 5.2...

Come back when you have 5.1 properly updated - suggest a FULL reinstall, not some `Just a Client` update...

Please let us know how it works or doesn't. Many times someone will ask, get a response, then never be heard from again. So no one really knows whether the response was helpful or not.

Sorry for the delay....

Rob (rcb-50) responded in a post on Avsim.

He advised me that I had INDEED placed all the files properly.

He then went on to say that his Altitude Gauge would ONLY work when in the APPROACH/DESCENT

to an airfield....

Sure enough....it works....

It was unfortunate that this info was not in the 'read me'...but I was ignorant in knowing that this was a vital step in landing.

So now I'm very happy to have this add-on to make my simming much more realistic...

Thank you all....and Rob

skip d,

Thanks for the update! Often a response like yours just posted answers questions for others as well.

IMO: The more we all help each other, the better we all get and the more we enjoy our hobby!

And yes "read me" files often don't include all we'd like to know.
