Problem with 2021-07-27 MSFS update ???

Recommended Posts

I'm sure you tried emptying the community folder and checked your GPU drivers. Check device manager in windows and see if it shows any problems. Try loading without the joystick connected. Good Luck!

Never hurts to recheck things. However, still no go :(

If it hasn't actually started updating yet, an App repair might work. If not, it's looking like a sim re-install unfortunately.

I've tried reinstalling as well Tim. No good :(

I get as far as the black screen when it just sits there. I have opened a Zendesk ticket (not holding my breath, lol)

The update has definitely made my frames alot faster and smoother BUT, the game CTDs about 5-7 minutes in. I can almost time it to crash. If it's not one thing it's another it seems with MSFS 2020.

I got this message after one of the crashes:

I finally (don't ask HOW), got it to the installation screen, but can go no further.

Sigh
