    Question Issue with Thomas Ruth DC-10 series - Airplane Menu

    Good afternoon all!

    I've got a problem with the Thomas Ruth DC-10 series that's cropping up and I have no idea what's causing it. In the airplane selection menu, when I pull up the DC-10, it's showing me 2 copies of the stock DC-10-30 Condor Airlines aircraft. But when I look in the aircraft.cfg file, there's only one flightsim.xx entry for Condor Airlines. I'm very confused as to what's causing this. Any help would be appreciated.     Your DC-10 Deutsche BA is missing a thumbnail.jpg and you may have 2 thumbnail.jpg for the Condor.

    Look in each texture folder for the corresponding correct thumbnail.jpg

    I don't have a thumbnail for the Deutsche BA entry yet. If the thumbnail were in the Deutsche BA texture folder, it would show up with Deutsche BA, not as a separate entry in the airplane selection. When I first installed this DC-10 series, I originally got an error message that said that there were two aircraft with the same Title, and that they needed two separate titles. When I changed the flightsim.0 to include Condor Airlines at the end, the error message disappeared, but I still have 2 entries for a single Condor Airlines model.

    Patrick - I know it sounds "far-fetched", but do you have any other DC-10 aircraft folders on your computer?

    Have you tried to click on each Condor selection to see if you get a Condor aircraft or something else?

    This is very strange, so bear with us, on asking what might seem to be dumb questions, but you are looking at your computer, we are not!

    Reason I ask, there are 2 file downloads on this site's library. Each have your DC-10-30 Condor aircraft, same title description as you would have had prior to adding the "Condor" verbage at the end of the title. Same aircraft pic as you have! However, Thomas Ruth has a flight number of 1123 on those two downloads, and, you don't show any flight numbers for your Condor aircraft.

    If you were to pull each aircraft up and proceed as if you were going to fly somewhere, your aircraft should present itself from atc as "McDonnell Douglas D-ADSO"

    The second aircraft may present itself from atc as "Condor 1123"

    The two files I am referring to are:

    tomdc10.zip
    tom_dc10.zip

    Yep, it does sound bizarre, but I have seen stranger things in the flight simming arena!

    #1 - Turns out that there were 2 copies of the DC-10-30 in my Airplanes directory. Deleted the 2nd folder. Fixed the problem.

    #2 - I'm sorry that I didn't respond to your time table. I'm not always on flightsim.com every day. But, just because of that, it's not excuse for either of you to be rude or disrespectful.
