    Default Plane Shakes...

    Howdy!

    I've loaded a couple of Spitfires (AF Scrub Vb, Mk. XI) and the Aeroplane Heaven Hurricane into the Sim, and when I select any one of these to go flying, the airplane is shaking violently on the Runway with the brakes applied.

    Any ideas as to why this happens?

    In the aircraft.cfg file, these are the settings you may need to adjust:

    empty_weight_pitch_MOI = 1600655

    All from the File Library here. Funny thing is... I choose each one to fly in the Sim last night, and no shakes on the Runway!

    I've had AI taxi OK then as soon as they takeoff they shake, and as Charlie advised I had to tweak them to correct it.
    I've had AI where the weight and balance is so bad they flip on the tarmac and vansh, then it's a bigger tweak lol.

    I have a stinking suspicion that it's the Pilot, and not the Airplanes that are at fault. Maybe I just need to get better at flying Mr. Scrub's aircraft!

    Hi,

    IF the Tail Wheel Diameter is MUCH bigger than the Mains ...

    The Hip shot with the MOI values is not ...

    Please TRY this CFG.


    MOST of the Values from Mr. Scrub are not altered ONLY the obvious incorrect ones MAINLY in the Contact Point section had to be altered.
