edgreenberg
I've done lots of searching. I must not have the right search strings. I have a small extra window with a 2d view. If I hit 4 or 6, I look momentarily out the sides. How can I lock that view to the side? Thanks

Thanks There is a program, a multi tweaker called Flusifix (freeware) There were versions for both fs2004 and Fsx. I have used the fs2004 version for many years now. One of its many tweaks does exactly what you require. With a simple mouse click you remove the need to hold down a key to keep viewing any side views( or forward , rear , etc ) from your aircraft until you want return to the default forward view . I am not sure where Flusifix is still available for download, but I am pretty sure it is. Someone here at Fscom may have the answer for you. Flusifix is a great tweaker both for fs2004 and Fsx .The majority of its fixes are selectable by simple click of a mouse,no specialist knowledge required. mrzippy
It's not available from any site that I would trust! The developer's site is no longer available. I have a copy, PM me with your email if you want it. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
edgreenberg
I appreciate the responses, but I'm surprised. I would think that cockpit builders have to lock alternate views all the time. I'll pm Mr. Zippy, but will also ask on the cockpit builders forum. Thanks, Ed
