Premier Aircraft Design (PAD) web site closing down

Due to advancing age and ill health I have decided to wind up the PAD web site. This will take effect on February 16th 2022 so plenty of time for FSX and FS2004 simmers to download and keep any of our 50+ models or 1000+ repaints on the site. http://www.premaircraft.com

All of our models have at various times over the last 20 years have been uploaded to the flightsim.com file library so of course they will always be available there.

Many thanks to the flight simming community for your support and encouragement over the years and special thanks to Stephanie Lawton who helped me to keep the site going with her excellent repaints after the sad deaths of my design colleagues Barry Blaisdell and Jean-Pierre Brisard.

Note to moderator: I would be obliged if you would make this notice a "sticky"

Thank you Bob for maintaining the PAD website, it will be sorely missed as much as Barry and Jean-Pierre. Best wishes for the future, and thank you again.

Thank you Bob for keeping the site active. Since I discovered it, it hass been one of my favorite. Your ssupport has been of great excellence, together with Barrys' and Jean Pierres, whenever I needed it. It will be greatly missed. Best of luck.

It will be missed, I have it saved in my bookmarks.

It won't be long after it is gone we will see posts where someone will be asking if anyone has such and such texture from your website. Such a shame, I/we have seen it lots of times where some aircraft have vanished and in a lot of cases just can't be found.

Can't see why? All models are still available on FlightSim.Com...

Nice, there are aircrafts for FS98-FSX. Use this link for future downloading purposes. Lastly, enjoy your life while you can Bob May! Love the models from the site, panels are basic and easy to use for beginers who want to start doing professional flights.(also love the repaint of the KC-135 in the Repubilc of Singapore Air Force[RSAF] livery, even though they retired the birds in 2019, I still get to fly it)

I have one final request, can someone who have all the repaints from the site to upload the paints here? At least someone can enjoy the paint similariy to when the site is perfectly running(especially the KC135 RSAF paints).

Love from Singapore!

you know what, a better idea would be manually type in Premier Aircraft Design. If needed retype the entire thing and you will get result. Not sure why but i guess this is flightsim.com's issus? Another way of accessing the site is via wayback machine:

https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.premaircraft.com/

you can use any site for wayback machine and see its past.

Hello Bob (I hope you still are a member here)

Firstly thanks heaps for the PAD web site which now has been closed.

I did download quite a few aircraft.

I have a question regarding use of any of the flyable models.

Who do I request permission from to use any of the (FSX) flyable aircraft to create static scenery objects for use in scenery which I may release as freeware?

Thanks

John

Hi there. Does anybody know how to recover the "Fixes" section that used to be on Premier aircraft designs website. That is aircraft fixes - example: fixes for low flap lift...ect..

https://web.archive.org/web/20130116080355/http://www.premaircraft.com/index.html

scroll down to see and download the "fixes"!

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️
