more MIGs

Nice MIG shots JK! ;)

The head of the local smog control testing station used to have one he kept here. I don't remember the model (either a 17 or a 19 I think) of his plane but it had one of the old centrificacul compressor engines.

When ever he flew his MIG it looked like a huge dark cloud was all around his plane. In fact when he landed it was difficult to see how he even saw through the windshield because it had so much lube oil on it.

A one hour flight probably hurt the local smog level as badly as 24 hours worth of commuter traffic. The hanger-hounds at KLOU always claimed his MIG was his job security. As long as flew it regularly, we'd surely have lots of smog!

Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
