Looking for a great guide/tutorial

I'm completely new to flight simulators in general, and after watching a lot of Airforceproud95 on youtube wanted to give it a go. That being said, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good guide or tutorial for FS2004, if possible in PDF format. I'd rather PDF because then I can pull it up on my iPad while I'm playing the sim on my main PC

Beside's Larry's suggestion above (a good one), you can learn a lot with the free publications from the FAA at https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/ where the FAA's pilot training manuals and other good information can be read, much can even be downloaded as a PDF.

For instance the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge can be downloaded as either one PDF or as a PDF for each chapter at https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/phak/.

And the Airplane Flying Handbook is at https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/airplane_handbook/

There's also stuff on instrument flying and a number of other subjects.

You have an iPad, right?

Go to YouTube and search for "GVad The Pilot". He made a Series of videos for FS that are way more helpful than following along in a .pdf; you can see exactly what he's doing.

Holding Patterns/Procedure Turns, VOR Navigation, Landing on the Centerline... he's done over 100 videos.

Have a Peek!

Hope this helps...
