CLE_GrummanTiger
Have any of you played the sim with FSEconomy to add a bit of fun and realism? I've read about VATSIM and virtual airlines, but I'm not sure that's for me, especially considering I'm hard-of-hearing and would have an enormously difficult time understanding anyone over ATC. Maybe there's some other alternatives to FSEconomy that I don't know about? Seems like a fun way to add hours and practice to flying. If I don't go broke first. tiger1962
I use Neofly, it's a freeware career mod specially designed for MSFS: https://www.neofly.net/ Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..." durhambuilder
FSEconomy does add that bit of realism, I have only used it for Xplane and it has a pretty steep learning curve. OnAir by Aerosoft is also good, it is subscription based but sim agnostic, you can use it with any of the major sims. I used it for a month after the trial period but gave it up as it was not compatible with my fsx and Xplane add-ons. I now use Air Hauler by Just Flight, imho it is the best there is. Unfortunately you have to but a copy for each sim to use it in all of them. Another downside is that you cannot resume a flight after a crash to desktop. This is a bit of a pain in MSFS where CDT's on my rig are pretty frequent. Hope this helps and good luck Geoff
CLE_GrummanTiger
Thanks to the two of you who responded. I guess I should be more specific and say I'm looking for freeware. The only add-on I'd ever be interested in buying is aircraft and possibly some airport/scenery (especially if close to home). Looks like it's probably FSEconomy vs NeoFly.
