Garmin 500 Replacement Gauge V8

I like this GPS. It's very clever; but, I ran into one snag.

 

On the "Nearest" screen, after clicking the "direct to" block, it turns green and the red box appears for the ICAO code entry; but, the gauge will not allow any entry.

 

Conversely, by tabbing over to the Airport side, it does accept airport names.

 

Any thoughts?

I just tried to duplicate your fault with the "Nearest" button (block) and I did not get a green screen. The author has done a "running" update to when he posted the gps_1_8 zip file, that may have solved this. Re-download the file and install it again (overwrite if asked) and see if that corrects it. Mine works perfectly.

1.8 is the one I'm using so I've got something else going on.

When did you download it? Have you re-downloaded it with in the past two days?

There was a small but significant change in the later cab file.

Glad you got it sorted out.

I'm really impressed with this GPS. I'd love to use it 'mouse-free', but can't find a way to bind the buttons with SPAD.Next / Simconnect functions in the way that I can with the standard one.

Perhaps I'm being too picky - it's a great add-on anyway!
