Plenty of volcanoes in the Phillipines. Try a few miles west of Cebu, there is an active one there ! Roy.
Yes, and the most well known there: the Pinatubo.
Bernard
New Zealand has any number of active volcanoes: Whakaari/White Island is the most current one, and then there's: Taranaki/Mt Egmont, Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe, Tongariro, Tarawera, Mayor Island, the Taupo and Auckland volcanic fields, Mayor Island, Brothers Volcano, and Raoul Island.
Come visit the shakey isles.
Hi,
Take off from KPDX to the NE towards the Cascade Mountains, and you'll see Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams and of course Mt. St. Helens, with its north flank blown off in the May 1980 eruption that killed 50+ people.
And there's Iceland, the large glacier in the south is the Katla, the smaller one to the left is the infamous Eyjafjallajökull (the 2010 ash cloud).
Regards,
DDP.
