Yep, downloading as we speak. Hopefully they will have fixed the addon airport ctd's although it is not specifically mentioned in the release notes. Looks like there has been some work on the cliff-climbing water though.

Bring it on!

First update is a 1.04 gb download, then the main download is 23.64 gb. Once you have done that, you need to go to the marketplace and download the UK world update which is another 4.93 gb. A lot of people will forget the last bit and be asking why they UK looks the same as it did before :)

The News section, also the Known Issues section, mentions that the dev team has not seen the CTD/Bing Maps issue on the new release. It does confirm that it was (is?) to do with a conflict with 3rd Party addons - they specifically mention Orbx London Scenery but I'd guess it could also apply to others. I had the same problem with Orbx EGNT.

Apparently I've been playing an older version of MSFS this whole time, even though I have "automatic updates" checked off etc.

So the World Update 3 initially told me that I could not download, because I did not have the minimum-required version installed. I went into my xbox account to re-download the latest update and that did the trick. Just posting this in case anyone else has the same issue.

Intel Core i7 10700KF (8-Core 5.1GHz Turbo Boost), RTX 3070 8GB, 32GB Dual Channel at 3200MHz, 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. Monitor: Samsung C49RG9x. VR: Oculus Quest 2.

My download (update and UK features) took about 2 hours, I was very lucky this time! Yes the ground spikes have gone, so have the farm apartment blocks, and the Bing map data for the UK is more recent than before. I've been sightseeing in the Robin DR400 which also performs better than before.

I updated about 4 hours ago. It took 1 hour and 16 minutes to download and install the 1GB plus the 23GB update. Took off from London City Airport and flew around London for 1/2 hour taking in the sights before I downloaded the World Update 3 for comparison. It took another 20 minutes to download and install World Update 3 then I recreated the same flight. It is quite different and way better than it was before. It looks fantastic in VR although I don't like the steep approach into London City Airport. The download seemed to be a little slow as it took 4 hours to download the original sim which was about 4 times larger than World Update 3.

UK update.... Liverpool complete with sunken piers. I followed the Manchester ship canal to Liverpool... One giant landmark in Manchester missing "Barton Bridge!" Well that's my neck of the woods checked out...... even with it's missing landmarks and scenery glitches ie. water levels it still better than the original....

River Thames around Reading is now in a narrow deep ravine, quite funny to see the roads smeared across the new cliff faces with the cars deifying gravity.

All houses in Reading appear to be Bungalow/Single floor buildings.

To me parts of London now looks like one of those after the apocalypse movies. It looks like smashed windows and vegetation over a lot of buildings.

Apparently Southampton and Portsmouth have lost their PG scenery.
