Default how to keep alpha channel?

    Hi guys!

can someone advice on how to edit a bmp texture without losing its alpha chanel?
I just want to invert/mirror a bmp (no color changes). what procedures should be used in imagetool?

    Regards

    Default

Firstly, use DXTBmp and separate the alpha from the bmp,

Then save the alpha somewhere safe ( I have a folder called alphas) making sure it does not conflict with other alphas you may have saved, (alpha 1, alpha 2 etc., may help)

When you have finished editing the bmp, again using DXTBmp, retrieve the saved alpha and save both parts as your new bmp.

    Hope this helps.
