majky
Hi guys, can anyone advice, how to write into xml, that a "K" will be carried out after certain ammount of elapsed time? In another words: I have bunch of "A"s, which if met a countdown ("P"?) will trigger and after finishing it, a "K" will be carryed out? thanks in advance! :) M Edited January 3, 2021 by majky
rcbarend
Willing to help, but I'm a bit puzzled as-to what you want: In other words: - The gauge starts a timer when some conditions, based on A:Vars, are all True. - When that timer elapses, a K:event should be issued. Correct ? If so: Should the timer be stopped (without issueing the K:Event) when any of the conditions become False before the timer elapses ?? If you PM me your Email address, I'm willing to make such a gauge for you. Just specify the A:vars and K:event, and the time. Rob
majky
basically yes, correct. my idea is that a bunch of "A" if true will lead to "L" and at the same time triggers countdown. "L" has to be maintained while countdown is in progres the whole time. after countdown reaches 0, a "K" will be carried out and thats end of it. thanks for the offer :) but Id like to make it myself (at least at first attempt) to better understand writing xml. could U lay down here a basic syntax of such xml? rcbarend
b thanks for the offer :) but Id like to make it myself (at least at first attempt) to better understand writing xml. could U lay down here a basic syntax of such xml? I DO understand your desire to code it yourself (because that's the best way of learning how to program in XML: by trial-and-error (that's how all designers learnt it) ). But there is no way to describe a "basic syntax" for such an XML gauge you are after. Because that would raise more questions then it answers..... There are many documents available that explain the basics of XML coding (see e.g. the PanelDesign forum here). And on other websites (like the WIKI section on FSDeveloper.com), a few examples on how to program a timer function. Rob
