bobraw776
My A320 flew fairly well before this update although I had to manually fly the vnav path. Now, following Update 6 the Autopilot is pretty well useless and the Airbus has a mind of its own even with the A320N mod. It takes about 30 minutes to set up a flight so its disheartening to repeatedly run out of control then CRASH. I've decided this sim is only fit for VFR. IFR is a waste of time. Each time I start the Sim there's a new problem. FS2020 is simply a pretty version of FSX-even the daft ATC voices and actions are the same. Some will say it's early days in the Sim's life but it has been released well before it's time and we are paying for its development. Nice one Microsoft. plainsman
Have you considered that you may be causing the problem by using the A320N mod? My aircraft don't have the issue? Either you have a slow data transfer somewhere in your system, or the mod is creating a conflict. schmeed
It's definitely the flybywire mod. The built-in A320 doesn't experience these issues in my experience. It could very well be conflicts between the Asobo updates and the mod, but that's the modders problem, not Asobo.

Actually, if the issue is CAUSED by the Asobo mod, the problem is Asobo`s, not the modders. Ask yourself which came first? Chicken or the egg..? plainsman
That is ridiculous. Modders have no expectation that the program will remain constant. And the answer is easy, Asobo! It is not a Flight Simulator, it is a Google Earth flight "simulator" clone. I'll try it again in a year or so (if it's still there). In the meantime I have written it off and have purchased Xplane 11. And I am impressed. It works. Geoff

plainsman
Once the problems were created by the mod, it may be difficult to fix them, as a lot of those leave residual changes even after they are uninstalled. The A32NX mod, like all the other aircraft mods, don't change or interfere with any system files - they install into the Community folder and remain totally separate from the files in the Official folder. If there's a control issue with or without the A32NX mod then something else is causing it, such as out of calibration joystick or yoke & pedals, or the control axis Sensitivity settings need adjusting - I have all mine at -50% with 10% dead zone. mallcott
That is ridiculous. Modders have no expectation that the program will remain constant. And the answer is easy, Asobo! Asobo must justify why something was so wrong that it needed fixing, and tell us, the paying customer, why it wasn't right in the first place! Else modders need an apology and an explanation. And purchasers, more so. I can understand improvements to the base package. But a continuous round of patch fixes?
bobraw776
Solved! I noted that the update 6 had made a few changes to my old CH yoke settings. This had resulted in the Autopilot fighting the roll (LNAV) set by the change. I changed the roll sesitivity and the dead zone. Flew EGKK to EDDM ok. I hope this helps someone out there. mallcott
Proof that the fault lay with Asobo. No CH product should have needed updating. It hasn't changed things in years!
