cockpit problem

in FSX (86) Steam in P38 GLACIER Girl. While in 2D panel then switch to 3D panel

 

The lower part of the 2D Panel remains.

 

Solution Please ??

Sounds to me like you have to close the 2D window. I can't remember what the keyboard shortcut is, but if you press Alt I think it is, at the top you can find the option to close a window.

ALT Enter works - but leaves a black line across the bottom of the cockpit - the 2D panel bottom is no longer visible. thanks

Once upoin a time I loved just the 2D cockpits, but over time I wanted the immersion of the cockpit as a whole and the ability to see to the sides and what not in a hurry with my yoke's hat switch, so I switched to the VC 3D cockpit. I won't even use a 2D cockpit anymore. So you might want to try to get used to a VC cockpit instead of the plain vanilla 2D cockpit.

 

Others will probably come here and with absolute vigilance say the 2D cockpit is the best and all this, Good for them, I could care less.
