1st build FS 2020

RTX 2060S OR GTX 1660S

 

To anyone that has good insight to which one of these cards will work best in this new build for FS 2020

Balance, harmony, low level noise, no overclocking are requirements.

 

CPU I7-9700K

GPU GTX 1660S

RAM 32GB 2 STK

SSD MV2E 2TB

CLR MUGEN 5

CAS CORSAIR 200R

If your case has room, I would go with the RTX 2060s. I am running the same processor and a RTX 2070 (last years model), and the RTX 2060s is just a shade less potent than the RTX 2070. You not only give yourself room to run larger screen resolutions comfortably, the processor will match the setup nicely if you have the room. Further, there is always possibility future editions may use ray tracing, so you are set for advances in the sim.

BTW, make sure your ram is DDR4 3200. The sim likes fast memory.

Also it’ll be a good idea to go for a better PSU.. maybe 700 or 750w

That was you’re future proofing it a bit more. You may want to upgrade the gpu later so a more powerful psu is always good

Also, keep in mind not all 650 watt power supplies are equal. The distribution of power available to the appropriate rail is very significant, some manufacturers cheat and add power to rails that won't need it, but are easier to power, in order to get a good rating.
