It is documented in the patch notes that it will happen, as well as the remedy. Energizer23
Same here! what is the remedy? Does not seem to be a remedy. Opening the map after starting sim makes no difference. It seems to be random. This needs to be fixed now! johnclift
Nah. That didn't work. Worse in fact. Crashed after 8 mins when trying to see the map.
johnclift
So really, with no map and a lack of proper VOR navigation (no DME info) it's really just for flying around pretty cities isn't it.

Elvensmith
No excuse for Asobo slipping up and MS allowing this through QA, but in all honesty the VFR map is next to useless. You can't click on locations as you can in XP11 nor does it contain any town etc. detail to give an idea where you are. Vern.
howlak
Use LittleNavmap.: https://albar965.github.io/ No problem here with MSFS map after 2h 10 min flight. VFR UI before flight is OFF.
johnclift
Yesterday I opened the map about 10 seconds after starting a flight and flew for 7 hours without a problem. Maybe that's what solved it, maybe not. Just sayin'. Who knows what today will bring !
johnclift
No that didn't work today LOL. Only lasted 12 minutes. BUT somebody somewhere suggested don't close the map. Just minimise it. So it's always running. So far 72 minutes in and it's working !
