Personnel told to Throw Out The Boeing B-17E/F Wind Test Prototype

Story from Air and Space Magazine found on the web to throw out the Prototype

B-17E/F wind tunnel test model that Boeing used in early 1941 was saved at

the last minute. Boeing Technitions saved the huge model made of metal and

mahagony have restored it to prestine perfect condition, it can be seen at the

Boeing Museum in Seattle.
