ac103010
Need help again. I'm starting to install flight plans using WOA. But every time I ask it to install I get the "Unhandled Exception Has Occured..........." error message. Why would this be and what to do to cure it? jorgen.s.andersen
You need to describe, step by step, how you are doing it and where in the process the error happens. But first question: are you using the WoAI installer? That is a must. Second question: why install outdated WoAI flight plans? At AIG you find them up to date.... ac103010
To answer your 2nd question first, Jorgen, up to the time I paused my simming about 4/5 years ago I used WOA extensively. It was fast and did what it said on the tin. I accept what you're saying aboit AIG and I'll look into it. But, sometimes, I want, and need older airlines and aircraft. But yes, I'm using the installer. So, I start installer. Select package (still zipped) Select FSX Path So FSX Path and Sub Folder are correct. Agree terms. Tells me which airline is being installed. Hit install. I get the error message "Unhandled Exception Has Occured..........." When I check details it tells me that the problem appears to be with the aircraft and, in particular, the "Model" file. Does this help?
ac103010
So, I thought I'd try AIG. I chose a number of airlines at random but every one came back with the message, "aircraft not available" How times change. The MRAI installer is not available. When you consider that I created scores of flight plans myself, in text format, then compiled them using TTools, and now I can't find a way to install any I've downloaded. ac103010
I realise why the aircraft aren't available. They aren't installed. lol. That's another reason I like WOA, all the aircraft are included.
ac103010
Looks like I've solved the WoA problem. You have to run it in Administrator Mode. I didn't know that. But haven't solved the AIG issue, though.
jorgen.s.andersen
There is a tool available from AIG called "The One-Click Installer", but I haven't figured out to use that yet. What I do when I see that I need aircraft (I use AIFP for that) I find the models and the textures in various places around the net. I then install them, and all is well. But I have so many now that I have had to create separate AI aircraft folders.... Jorgen PS: And I also started out with WoAI, but then the AI virus got hold of me....
