Landing at FQMP

I flew a short hop from FMCH to FQMP. FMCH is supposed to be a notoriously difficult airport because of the wind patterns, but I didn't turn the wind on? I am guessing FQMP does not get a lot of sight seeing traffic, not much in the way of welcome services.

BTW, I just read a news story about this airport being taken in a civil war ongoing at this location.

Yes, I'd say a civil war would reduce your tourist numbers!

As to winds, Texas has had some pretty interesting ones as well. I remember being RW grounded at the old Midland Airport for several days waiting for the winds to abate before continuing to El Paso.

Yes, not a friendly welcome! I picked it for the proximity to FMCH, another of those places I will never visit. That was a much nicer airport! I didn't realize it had been taken over until after I had posted the shot!
