Typical! I'm mid-flight over the North Sea and can't even make an emergency landing!

Sorry Tim LOL

I’m downloading it as we speak. It’ll ask you to download a small bit from the MS Store, & then the sim itself will download 15gb

Steve

Or Steam downloads the first bit, then the sim patcher which is 11.46Gb.

Looking forward to seeing if it has addressed some of the AP issues - the notes would indicate it has.

Edit: Make sure to allow plenty of time, the server must be getting hammered, after 10mins only about 500Mb of the update complete. as with the original install, it seems to be downloading and installing/updating rather than grabbing the entire patch and running at the end.

Thanks Steve, the MS Store download is 676.8mb - after the world's fastest landing!

Not into the North Sea I hope? LOL

Mine is still downloading. I guess we’re all testing the servers again

LOL No I "diverted" to Wick and plonked down on the grass in the middle of the airfield - technically a 'landing' I suppose. The sim is now downloading 15.69gb of goodies, one of which replaces a mod I've just installed from Github - the navsystems performance mod which allowed you to set the refresh rate of the mfd, pfd etc. screens. One mod I'll be hanging on to for now is the Tooltips reduced size & transparency mod - absolutely brilliant.

I kept getting the dreaded 0X80073CF9 error message each time I attempted to download the patch.

After doing a LOT of reading, trying the suggestions, more reading, this is what I did to get the patch.

Created a directory in C:\\Windows called AUInstallAgent

Rebooted the computer

Restarted MSFS. This time I got a different message basically telling me, I have to download the patch. Went to the Windows Store, found out it was already downloading the 600 meg patch, ran that and I am guessing, it found the AUInstallAgent directory and put the 19 gig patch there (??)

However it worked, it worked!!!! Decompressing the files as I type

Think the logbook is not updating since I've patched it.

Made two flights, one from Ferendina Beach to KRCG, landed.

KNIP to KCRG, used ILS to land (was nice!!)

However, the logbook does not show either flight occurring.

It said 13.4 GiB at the end of the bar for the size of the download. After a few GiB, I left the computer, and when I came back it had downloaded over 18 GiB and is still going. What gives?

I think for some of us Art, the patcher itself is breaking - see my comment above. Getting stuck on certain files and looping round. Whether this is due to server overload or some other issue, can't say. Going to give it another 10 mins then throw in the towel tonight and play something else.

So far I've had no issues with the initial purchase download or updates. It went to 21.39 GiB, decompressed files, and reverted back to downloading at a little over 6 GiB complete and is still going.

Well it finally grabbed the Paris airport but after a couple of smaller files, now playing the same silly boogars with the KLAX update. Seems that any file over a certain size is causing issues and before anyone asks there is over 300Gb of spare capacity on my C: drive!

Stick with it Vern, mine's up to 21.12GiB and still going - it's got to be worth the wait for those autopilot fixes you've asked for!

Well, finished the update and started the sim to check the items I submitted to Zendesk. They had sent me an email saying issues were solved. I can report that NONE of them were fixed. So far I have seen nothing different.
