Horrors - Forgotten how to install addon scenery

Trying to install Cardiff. Cardiff folder has scenery and texture sub folders. I placed Cardiff in Addon Scenery folder in FSX but when I try to add it in the sim it's not there.

You are using the Scenery Library to add it? Remembering to click in the white area of the box and not the tag to add the area?

Hi Top Gunn. Yes to the first question. But it's not showing in the scenery listing inside the sim, so can't add it.

You have to use the Add Area button and then use the browser window to point to the scenery. Then follow the above advice.

Hi, Member! So...you click on add area, the go to Addon Scenery folder and click on Cardiff, then click in the white area to add Cardiff to the library?

To fly from there:

select airport as usual.

Once added to the scenery library the addon will show instead of the default airport when selecting that ICAO to fly from.

 

Don't go to "select airport"--"addon airports". That menu is not what you should use.

Thanks guys. All sorted. But thanks for the tip on airport selection. I did wonder which airport would show.
