Thread: Scenery Program: Airport 2.6 or FS Scenery Creator or GMAX(creating airport sceneries)

  1. Default Scenery Program: Airport 2.6 or FS Scenery Creator or GMAX(creating airport sceneries)

which program do you recommend for creating airport sceneries?

Airport 2.6 and FSSC is very good I think, but I've also heard that gmax is more powerful, and all FS2004 scenery will be created in gmax, is that true?

Which program do you recommend, anyway? How can I create scenery in GMAX? (LOOKS VERY HARD :O|

    Thanks!

p.s: will I be able to create scenery for FS2004 if I use FSSC ?

and where can I find more macros for FSSC ?

    Please reply soon.

Use Airport or FSSC for all the ground stuff, i.e., runways, taxiways, pads. You also use them to place 3d objects (API) (polygons), i.e., buildings, hangars, etc. You can download or use the APIs provided with Airport or FSSC.

Use GMAX for aircraft and 3d object development then use FSRegen to make your 3d objects into APIs.

You will need the export module from fs2002Pro for use in exporting the GMAX objects out to the MAKEMDL.EXE file. You will need FSRegen from http://www.nhreas.com/fsregen.html .
