garybarth
SKYDOC01....I have the Delux vs of FS2020 and CH Products for Yoke,Pedals, Throttle Quadrant, and GF-MCP PRO Autopilot. What I find is a total LACK of switch/buttons/axis assignment capability, as we have with FS9. The only thing I could get to work was the Aileron and Elevator --- No Rudder pedals/brakes...Absolutely NOTHING worked on the Throttle Quad - Axis/Button assignments, etc. No Autopilot... I've quaried this Forum about this....so far no reply. If you find the answer, let me know. I'll do the same. The only CH product I have right now is the Throttle Quadrant, and although it initially showed up in the sim, and I can supposedly program it, nothing works. I tried launching the Control Manager, and it crashed, and the quad disappeared from the sim. So I will now try to uninstall the Control Manager and re-boot. I'll let you know. -= Gary =- MSFS2020, i7-7700 4.2 Ghz(liquid-cooled), ASUS GTX-1080Ti (liquid-cooled), 32 Gb RAM, Logitech X-56 HOTAS, Logitech ProFlight rudder pedals, CH Throttle Quadrant, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs, Razer OrbWeaver, Track-IR

dogdish
A POV (Point Of View) hat switch has 4 or 8 "buttons". So maybe you have to individually add a view direction to each "button" of the hat. FSX had POV right in the configuration menu. Posted by neilfb... garybarth
As mentioned in above postings, NOT NEEDED and as you found just causes issues. Well, I uninstalled the CH Manager and tried to use the quad straight. Win10 said it found and set up my usb device, so I fired up FS, and attempted to set up the throttles, with failure. The buttons were accepted in the sim, but didn't work when I opened the Cessna 172. The axes worked very strange - if I pushed the levers all the way forward, they went full. If I moved the levers to the first detent, they went to half and jumped all over the place. And the sim (and Win 10) doesn't even see the switches on the levers. So right now, I'm stuck. I don't know whether to re-install the Manager or not. But someone out there knows what to do! I'll keep trying. -= Gary =- MSFS2020, i7-7700 4.2 Ghz(liquid-cooled), ASUS GTX-1080Ti (liquid-cooled), 32 Gb RAM, Logitech X-56 HOTAS, Logitech ProFlight rudder pedals, CH Throttle Quadrant, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs, Razer OrbWeaver, Track-IR
dogdish
Somebody mentioned it was necessary to first calibrate the controls in Windows 10... How do I open controllers on Windows 10? Press the Windows key and R to bring up the Run command, type joy.cpl and press Enter. This will launch the Game Controllers window immediately. Click the Cortana Search box in the taskbar, enter “game controller†and you can then click the “Set up USB game controller†option from the search result. garybarth
Here's where I am right now (and the quad is still not working): 1) I uninstalled the Control Manager 2) Unplugged the device. 3) Reinstalled the Manager 4) Plugged the device into a USB 2.0 connector 5) Launched Control Manager and totally calibrated the device. (Every axis and switch worked) 6) Started FS2020 and went to the controller set-up. 7) Disabled the X-56 throttle controls 8) Programmed the quad, and everything seemed to work, including the switches. At this point I have to state that while the axes seemed to work, and the switches registered, when I went back to test the switches, although they were showing, they didn't highlight/illuminate when I used them. This included every switch, including the ones in the axis controls. At this point, I have left the quad connected, but have created an "Empty" profile for it, with no programming. And I'm back to my X-56. So if anyone has a better fix or another way to set this up, please give me a shout. The quad worked perfectly in FSX and DSC, so it's not the device. -= Gary =- MSFS2020, i7-7700 4.2 Ghz(liquid-cooled), ASUS GTX-1080Ti (liquid-cooled), 32 Gb RAM, Logitech X-56 HOTAS, Logitech ProFlight rudder pedals, CH Throttle Quadrant, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs, Razer OrbWeaver, Track-IR

dashort3
I have the CH Yoke and pedals working with FS2020. Had to assign each position for the POV hat. Only bonus is that you can assign the cockpit and external view to the same POV movement. The warning in settings will let you know that the switch movement is already assigned but will let you do both. Since the internal and external views are separate there hasn't been any issues. napamule2
David, These are absolutely fantastic video tutorials. Thank you. Very well done and it shows just how complicated setting up controls in new sim will be. So there is a learning curve. But these videos makes it much easier to accept that fact, and gives us (new) hope that we CAN successfully do the setups on the controllers. My Motto: Touch everything - change everything - go everywhere - FIRE IT IN! Thanks again. ansettman
CHProducts items are seen as joysticks, so it should not be a problen to assign. I only have a CH joystick but no pedals so i had to dig really deep to find out how to steer on the ground. After that i could not assign the one throttle lever to operate both or all engines at once on the A320 and B747, i'm still trying to find out how to get both , or all engines on the one lever. BSmurf
The POV hat switch is where you want to view the plane from not the direction you want to look in.
