Question – has anyone else had this happen?

During my preorder of MSFS2020 Premium Deluxe edition I got a popup saying my system didn’t meet the minimum requirements without saying why.

I’m running:

W10 OS 10.0.18362.959 (Win10 RS6 [1903] May 2019 Update) 64bit

Integrated Keyboard and mouse

DirectX 12

32G memory

8G video ram

QuadCore Intel Core i7-7700K, 4400 MHz (44 x 100)

Graphics MSI GTX 1080 Armor OC (MS-V336)

824G free on my boot ssd

2.6T free on my hd

I’ve been on the phone with MS all afternoon being passed around to someone else who may have the answer to no avail.

I’m thinking this may just be a glitch.

Has anyone else had this happen? Or do you see anything else it may be?

Thanks,

I maybe wrong, but I would think the pop up had nothing to do with Microsoft. It’s more likely to be a fake/scam popup? Did the popup include a phone number to ring? (ie: scammers claiming to be Microsoft)

I can’t image Microsoft would want to stop you from punching the sim anyway, whatever your pc specs are. After all, you maybe planning on installing it on a new pc later.

In fact come to think of it, I think I placed my order from my iPad, not my pc.

I’m pretty sure they don’t ask/check what specs you have when you order.

Besides, your specs look good to me anyway.

Regards

Stevd

new to flightsim? to real flight or new to computers?

identifying dangerous cumulus-nimbus by radar or visual contact is a challenging and life saving task in real aviation.

In flightsim, you ll have to learn to avoid scam popups first :)

Anything I say is...not as serious as you think

Another thought... on which website were you trying to order it and had you entered your credit/debit card details? You may have another problem

Thank you all for your replies.

I'm coming back to MSFS after 22 years ('98). Started in '85, so i'm not aware of FS scams.

I purchased through my MS account and was logged in at the time. My purchase shows up on my MS purchased items page.

i sure hope all of you are right and everything goes smoothly on the 17th.

Fingers crossed!!!
