I'm going to embark on building a simpit using a glass cockpit panel to run MSFS. I already own one Simionic G1000 bezel and iPad and am considering whether to buy another or to instead buy a RealSimGear G1000 suite. Two of the determining questions will be:

1. Will MSFS be able to pop out the G1000 PFD and MFD to external displays?

2. Does the MFD have all of the chapters and pages (functionality) that the real one has?

I bought my first Compaq Portable in 1983 to use MS Flight Sim 1.0 while getting my PPL. I still own the Compaq. I haven't done much simming in recent years and instead focus on flying my PA32-260 as a CPSEL-IA with around 3,000 hours PIC.
