Like joystick but hate its throttle

Just got the logitech 3d pro joystick, I like the joystick in general but I have issues with it's throttle, especially when I want to speed up a little bit or slow down a little bit. When I am landing is my speed constantly changing from too slow to too fast, it is hard to move it accurately. Any suggestions to fix this issue?

Yes. Fold up a strip of paper. Then wiggle it under the throttle handle. That way it becomes a little less easy to move the handle forward or back.

You can also try carefully tightening the screw that fixes the handle on. (see small hole in side of handle.).

Be careful. Don't overtighten. (metal screw in plastic, so damages easily.) It's not a matter of turning as tight as you can. Just make sure the screw is not loose.

Folded up paper in the small slit under the handle really makes a huge difference. Fix the paper to the throttle base with a piece of sticky-tape to make sure it stays in place.

Thanks that helped

You just joined FSCom so you are probably going to Sim a long time in the future. That problem you have will still be there in 10 years. And a throttle quadrant has it's quirks too. Have a look at what I have been using for 10 years and love how it allows for small changes in power (ie: for helicopter flying). You have to get a piece of plastic and wedge the throttle slider on the joystick at '0', which you set using calibration screen. You go to assignments and set the keypad keys as you want. You can use what I use for starters. You can always change assignments. From then on the keypad throttle is all you need to use (but the F1 thru F4 on keyboard are still available and active). The Targus keypad is around $15 at Amazon. I got one last week at Goodwill for $3.99 and it works perfect. Looked hardly used and like new. Have a good one.
