Could some one please give me and idea of how the a/c in the 2002 search files are built, and the software used. Just curious on how this is done and would possibly like to experiment with this.

You will need 'GMax' or 'FSDS' (from Abbacus) software. Google them. Over at AvSim they have a review of FSDS that you can read and a PDF you can download for info about it. You will find that it takes a lot of work to make a model. 100's of hours for a simple model. It's not easy. Steep learning curve. If you start now in a year you MIGHT be ready to start designing.
