    Not so thin laterally. Looks like hard to get airborn

    Actually, no, very easy to get airborne, it has excellent STOL capabilities, really amazing.
    Take off is about 400 m, landing 300m, and it can move backwards on the ground

    This reminded me that the fate of the sole surviving Beverly (XB259) is still very much in doubt

    Great shots of the bird and Goodwood! It's cool seeing those old saloons on the race track that close by!

    I'll have to go back there and take a look around. It's been awhile.

    Wow . . . . spent more than two hours searching the internet for this plane . . . . finally found it, and what a wonderful surprise! . . . a M. Jahn & comp. creation! Yes ! ! ! ! great craft, ugly as can be, flyings a dream.

    Think of it as an early days version of a C-130! That's the first thing that came to my mind!
