Installing Addon Airports

Hi,

I have Prepar3d Ver 4 and would like to install an addon of my local airport. The directions says to "Just drag and drop the KAVP_ADEX_RWT.BGL file into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder." I could only find the Scenery folder so I put it there, but it isn't recognized. I am not that tech experrienced. Thanks. Tom

First, do you know if the product is compatible with P3D? If not, don't bother. If it is, it's a bit more complicated than just dropping it into a folder. Get the freeware tool P4AO from https://www.lorby-si.com/downloads.html - it;s the Add On Organizer. Read the documentation to see whats involved.

Basically - create an Addon Scenery folder somewhere, create a Scenery subfolder

Put your bgl file in the Scenery sub folder you just created

Run P4AO and add scenery - it will walk you through creating the xml file necessary

after it is installed you need to move your airport to the top of the scenery file, you do this within P4AO.

But first check if it's compatible with P3D.

I found the file in Simmarket and although the description is mostly referencing FSX, it states it is compatible with Prepar3d in the description. Tom
