Fs9 anti aliasing

Good day to the group I posted a thread, earlier about fs9 graphics, however it appears that the graphics are ok, however the issue with the fs9 is anti aliasing,

 

I have a windows 7 pc with a amd graphics card, the graphic card settings are at the highest anti aliasing and the tv monitor is at the highest graphics settings as well as the fs9 settings.

 

I was wondering if anyone here has had the same issue and if you have found a fix.

You may find having it set to the highest might be a problem, most times it works fine set to 5 sometimes 6, you need to play with the slider to get the right effect.

You should be using nVidia Inspector with FS2004 and Windows 7 to get antialiasing, especially in full screen mode. Read all about it and download it here: https://nvidiaprofileinspector.com/download-nvidia-profile-inspector/

Towards the top of the profile settings in your nVidia Inspector profile you will see a setting called "Antialiasing compatibility." Set that to "0x004412C1 (Diablo III)" and antiaiasing should work again in full screen mode.

I had the same issue with FS9 and my AMD graphics card. Everything looks good but no antialising. I downloaded a program called Radeon Pro which fixed the issue for me.

Thanks col, I tried a few settings and I wasn’t able to configure the sim to fix the issue,

 

A easy indication was the airplanes wings were smooth prior to the event and now they’re jagged

Make sure you don't have AA turned on in FS9 if you have it turned on in your graphics card settings.

If you're a 2D panel user, you will get a blurry panel with AA set outside of FS.

I agree fully with Tim Wright "Tiger's" assessment.

 

Also, keep in mind that AMD cards were known to have problematic issues with FS9. I became aware of it years ago when building our simulator. We were attempting to incorporate AMD's "Eyefinity". What a disaster. Matrox Triple & Doublehead cards fixed this issue.

Not sure where I found it. Don't believe it was on AMD's site. I use Duckduckgo for searches. I just did a search for Radeon Pro in that.
