Airco DH-2 WW-1 Fighter (FSX)

The Airco DH.2 was a single-seat biplane "pusher" aircraft which operated as a fighter during the First World War. It was the second pusher design by Geoffrey de Havilland for Airco. The DH.2 was the first effectively armed British single-seat fighter and enabled Royal Flying Corps (RFC) pilots to counter the "Fokker Scourge" that had given the Germans the advantage in the air in late 1915. Until the British developed an interrupter gear to match the German system, pushers such as the DH.2 and the F.E.2b carried the burden of fighting and escort duties.

Open cockpit and all. I cannot imagine what it would be like to fly one of those not to mention in combat. Well done! :pilot:

Ahh, going back to your roots, I see. If you compare that to our Challenger ultralight, things haven't changed all that much.

We added a nose gear, lost the bottom wing and the gun (as far as you know) but the configuration is basically the same. :pilot: -- Bob

I would love to see you wearing a hat in summer! Feel free to post a pic here. ;):D Oh, and I don't care if you wear a hat or not, or when you wear a hat. OK? but never say that anything on me, or on one of my beautiful planes, is strange! Yes? Just a warning.:rolleyes: I don't know what "PAH" is in French, but here's your PAH! TSK!

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!
