Vickers Wellington !C

The first of the Vickers Wellington 1C, this one was attached to RAF 150 Squadron at RAF Newton, then in 1942 moved to Blida in Algeria bombing targets in Tunisia and Sardinia.

This is not my paint by the way its the Alphasim freeware model.

To follow on this is the Vickers Wellington 2, this also has some history:

This was the second Wellington of 104 Sqn. that got lost on Operation Berlin 12/13. August 1941. While W5443 crashed 0150 hrs. near Sagehorn at the so-called Klüverdamm after it was hit by flak.

Typical British design, and the geodotical construction made this bird a strong one. thanks for pics and the links again! :cool::cool::cool: If you look at the Vickers Viking, you can clearly see the shape of the Wellington in it. Edited by peer01
