My Home Town

I thought I would see how my home town looks in the flight sim.

Heading north to check out the lakes.

 

 

 

 

Flying west of town we find lots of hills, forests, meadows, streams and small lakes. Great area for picnics and hiking.

 

 

Flying east we see the town. The flight sim did pretty good job on the lay out of the town. The tall building you see is really there.

The country club golf course. Played golf there once.

The Municipal Golf Course. I have played a lot of golf there. we lived about a mile south of the golf course.

Since this is not photo real scenery the best I could do is fly over the general area.

Great shots of the home town area! I did that once where my Florida house is. Just trees and fields. I need to do this at my “base” location and see what I can pull off. Thanks for the idea :cool:

I believe the next incarnation of Flight Simulator will be a little more faithful. maybe too faithful. :eek::confused:

Yes, it was a nice place to grow up in and also to raise my kids there.

:D:D;) I am not sure I will get the next incarnation of Flight Simulator, it will probably keep track of everything you do that is Flight Sim related and them bombard you with all kinds adds etc.

Hi Rick, thanks for the comments. I did not say where my home town is but if you google "The Price Tower" You will find out. I lived there for 40 years until the company I worked for transferred me to Texas.

Nice flight and very nicely displayed John. The lakes around Bartlesville are pretty well represented. I've been through Bartlesville several times over the years. My wife is from Tulsa so I've spent some time around OK. :cool: :cool: :cool: :)

Thanks Larry. That area of Oklahoma is called green country and is very pretty.
