Douglas DC3 Paratrooping During Operation Dragoon in Provence, France, August 1944

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

That one I couldn't miss for my WW2 collection! :):) That's a Douglas DC3 paratrooping over Le Muy, in Provence, southern France by 06:00 p.m., during Operation Dragoon, or the Allied landing in Provence on August 15th, 1944. That landing was eventually performed function of several considerations after the Normandy one had occurred (according to my weather freeware set at that date, weather wasn't that fair late that day :):) )
